Ik heb nu al een paar keer te maken gehad met het "prachtige" global shipping program. Beide keren toen in iets in de VS kocht.
De eerste keer kocht ik iets als kado voor een vriend in de VS. Wat blijkt er is dan geen mogelijkheid om de verzendkosten nog achteraf aan te passen. Ik als koper moet gewoon het volle bedrag inculsief import kosten naar Nederland betalen terwijl het pakket helemaal niet naar Nederland moest maar gewoon in de US moest blijven.
Later kwam ik er weer mee in aanraking doordat ik twee items kocht bij dezelfde verkoper en dus twee keer volle mep verzendkosten mocht betalen, en inclusief de invoerrechten. Gecombineerd verzenden is niet mogelijk op deze manier.
Twee situaties dus waar je als koper flink moet bloeden voor iets wat juist bedoeld is om je te helpen. Niet erg goed over nagedacht dus.
Als er meer mensen zijn die vinden dat ebay hier beter over na moet denken laat aub van je horen in een reply op dit topic. Als maar genoeg mensen iets laten horen wordt er misschien een keer iets veranderd.

A few times i ran into the "wonderful" global shipping program. Both times when i as a Dutch man bought something in the US.
The first time i bought an item as a present for a friend that lives in the US. By talking to the buyer i was able to have the item send to my friend but the seller was not able to adjust the shippingprice. I had to pay full shipping including importduties as if the item was send to the Nehterlands but it never left the US.
The other problem i encoutered was when i bought multiple items from the same seller. Combined shipping is not possible with the global shipping program and thus you will have to pay shipping and the importduties over shipping for each transaction. So if i buy 3 things and their shipping is $20 each i will pay $60 and importduties over that $60, while if the items could have been combined i would only have paid $30 and importduties over that $30.
For a buyer this can be a reason to just not buy the stuff that is sold with this shipping option. While it was meant to make it easier. I thinkt they can rethink this a bit and make it less rigid and more adjustable on the backend.
If more people have problems with this program please reply to this topic. If enough people react maybe they will overthink this program.
