Obviously, this is an extreme case, but it goes to show that "don't feed the troll" shouldn't be used to dismiss someone on their first post.

Should we attempt to debate someone before declaring him/her a "troll"? Shouldn't we practice what we preach-- a certain amount of open-mindedness?
